The saturday of the event, i was unable to make it due to health issues, however, the instructor reached out to me to find out how i was doing and to reschedule another day time to work on the art project. The instructor was very kind, and concerned about me receiving the art instruction i registered for as well as my health. I will definitely sign up for classes with this group again. Thank you 🙏 very kindly!

What I enjoyed the most about the event was the opportunity to meet two talented local artists. It was a casual encounter, which is why the focus was more centered on the artworks of the group members, which wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Engaging in conversations with them about their techniques and concepts was a valuable experience that enriched my understanding of art. We share some time together and did a bit of drawing.

Title or Location: Quiet Grace
I met her on a busy February afternoon at Busch Gardens in Tampa ? a day full of noise, rides, crowds, and motion. In the middle of it all, she felt like a quiet island of grace.Back home, I kept returning to that photo. There was something in the way she held herself ? strength wrapped in calm, maybe even acceptance.I wanted to hold on to that moment.

Title or Location: Fantine
Fantine is a character in Les Miserables, an epic historical novel by Victor Hugo, published in 1862 with a setting in France. It's a favorite story and movie of mine that is unforgetable. Fantine was a factory worker and prostitute who had to sell her hair to buy her daughter a coat. She was arrested for defending herself from an abusive man and ended up in jail. She was fired from her job and facing further hardship, she lost hope. She also suffers from TB and later dies. The painting

Title or Location: Contemplation
After a very long break from traditional portrait drawing ? nearly two decades ? I finally decided to return. I knew I needed a face that quietly resonated with something in me, something gentle and searching. This portrait became a symbol of that reconnection. The softness and stillness reflect the kind of emotion I?m drawn to ? subtle, inward, sincere. And it feels deeply right to return to the space of human faces again, with all their feelings, expressions, and inner worlds.

Title or Location: Echoes of the Wetlands
The quiet majesty of the sandhill crane is captured amidst the softly textured landscape drawing focus to the elegance of the crane and inspired by the natural beauty and stillness of the Florida wetlands. This work represents both strength and serenity in the wild and was inspired by a close encounter with a sandhill crane family in the Northeast Florida area the artist calls home. Artist, Jeannie Chapman discovered her skills during the Covid-19 pandemic as a means of therapy and self care f

My grandfather started the first ice-cream company in Chicago. Delivering ice-cream to corner drug stores by horse and buggy. I recently visited the area where the factory was and loved the old brick buildings. I thought about all the stories and history that happened in these old structures. Everyone has a different story and background and sees the world distorted with their own backgrounds and understating of the world. Please take a look at this city. What stories unfold? What do you see? I

Title or Location: Finding Peace
The location is Budleigh Salterton, Devon, UK.Combination of three different images: the sea, the boat, and the pebbles. The pebbles on the beach typically look uniformly grey. However, for this painting and a series of similar ones, I've exaggerated the colour saturation of the pebbles and super-imposed as the foreground for contrast against the background and middle-ground. "Finding Peace" for those struggling with mental illness impacting their lives.

I made this for a lovely friends daughter who had to move from her flat in Edinburgh as the landlord was selling up . It didn?t really give her long to get something else especially in Edinburgh so she moved out the city to a house she could afford . She has a disabled son who she shares the responsibility of looking after with her ex partner. So she had to really start again , so I said I would make her a welcome sign with birds on it as she?s also a DJ in Edinburgh who goes by the name of Bird
